This is the website of Skopje Central Apartments, a small portfolio of short-term rentals in central Skopje, hosted by Sofija. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to opt out. Plain language, no legalese.
Inquiries
When you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we receive what you choose to send: usually your name, contact details, dates, and group size. We use it only to reply and arrange a stay. We never sell it and never use it for advertising. Email is delivered through Resend; WhatsApp runs on Meta's infrastructure, under their own terms.
Payments
We take no payments on this site. There is no checkout and no card processing here. Any deposit is arranged off-site, by bank transfer or over WhatsApp.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used: which pages get visited, on what kind of device, roughly from where. IP addresses are shortened before they are stored. Analytics stays switched off until you accept it in the cookie bar. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set, and Google receives only cookieless, aggregate signals.
Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. Two things may be stored in your browser:
- Your choice (always)
- We remember whether you accepted or declined analytics, so the bar does not return. It lives in your browser under "sca-consent" and is never sent to a server.
- Analytics (only if you accept)
- If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga to recognise returning visits. Decline, or simply ignore the bar, and these are never set.
Changing your mind
To withdraw analytics consent after accepting, clear this site's data in your browser, or just the "sca-consent" entry. The bar comes back and you can decline.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email sofija.dz@gmail.com and we will take care of it. If you are in the EU and unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
